Fed opens comment period on Agricultural Banking Corp acquisition
Public comment on Agricultural Banking Corp's purchase of Buckley Bancorp and Buckley State Bank is due by Sept. 25, 2026

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System has announced that Agricultural Banking Corporation, Paxton, Illinois, has applied for approval to acquire Buckley Bancorp, Inc., and thereby indirectly acquire Buckley State Bank, both located in Buckley, Illinois. The application is being considered under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, 12 U.S.C. 1841 et seq., and Regulation Y, 12 CFR part 225.
All public portions of the application and any related filings required by the Board are available for immediate inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and at the Board's offices in Washington, DC. Requests for expedited access may be directed to the appropriate Reserve Bank or the Board's Freedom of Information Office.
Interested persons may submit written comments on the standards enumerated in the BHC Act, 12 U.S.C. 1842(c). Comments must be filed with the Reserve Bank of Chicago, Christopher Koopmans, Senior Vice President, 230 South LaSalle Street, Chicago, Illinois 60690-1414, or electronically to the protected email address, and must be received no later than September 25, 2026. Comments are subject to public disclosure and will be made available without alteration, except for removal of personal or business identifying information.
