Nasdaq GEMX Sets Fees for Liquid-Cooled Cabinets in NY11-5 Data Center
Co-location customers of GEMX must pay new installation and power fees starting Q4 2026.

On September 14, 2026, Nasdaq GEMX, LLC filed a proposed rule change with the SEC under Section 19(b)(1) of the Securities Exchange Act and Rule 19b-4. The Commission published the notice on September 25, 2026 (Release No. 34-106490; File No. SR-GEMX-2026-33; FR Doc No. 2026-19947) and indicated that the amendment to Rule General 8 is immediately effective, with implementation slated for the fourth calendar quarter of 2026.
The amendment creates separate installation fees for liquid-cooled cabinets in the Exchange's NY11-5 expansion. A Nasdaq-provided liquid-cooled cabinet will incur a $5,490 installation fee with no ongoing monthly charge, while a customer-provided cabinet will be charged $2,500 for installation, also without a recurring fee.
Power services for these cabinets will be billed per kilovolt-ampere (kVA) and tied to a one-, two-, or three-year commitment. Installation fees add the standard NY11-4/-5 cabinet power charge plus an additional per-kVA charge of $1,800 (one-year), $1,650 (two-year) or $1,500 (three-year). Ongoing monthly fees are $1,000 per kVA for a one-year term, $900 per kVA for two years, and $800 per kVA for three years.
The Exchange will notify customers of the exact implementation date via Trader Alert, and the fee schedule is posted on the Nasdaq GEMX rulebook website.
