Federal Reserve opens comment period for Security Bancshares acquisition
Comments on Security Bancshares Corp.'s proposed purchase of State Bank of Wynnewood must be filed by Oct. 23, 2026.

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System has issued a notice of applications for formations, acquisitions, and mergers of bank holding companies under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 and Regulation Y. The notice lists the public portions of the applications as available for immediate inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank(s) indicated and at the Board's offices.
One application seeks approval for Security Bancshares Corporation, Wewoka, Oklahoma, to acquire The State Bank of Wynnewood, Wynnewood, Oklahoma. The application is to be considered by the Board for approval pursuant to the BHC Act and all applicable statutes and regulations.
Comments on the application must be received at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, 1 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, Missouri 64198-0001, or at the Board of Governors, Benjamin W. McDonough, Secretary of the Board, 20th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20551-0001, no later than October 23, 2026. Comments may also be sent electronically to the address provided in the notice.
