The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency published a notice (FR Doc 2026-18259) on Sep 4 2026 announcing the renewal of its information collection titled "Supervisory Guidance: Supervisory Review Process of Capital Adequacy (Pillar 2) Related to the Implementation of the Basel II Advanced Capital Framework." The collection carries OMB control number 1557-0242 and has been sent to the Office of Management and Budget for review.

The guidance, originally issued in 2008, assists banks in implementing the supervisory review process required by the advanced approaches risk-based capital rule. It applies to OCC-supervised national banks and Federal savings associations that are subject to the advanced approaches capital rule and does not apply to small banks. The affected public is described as "Businesses or other for-profit."

Under the Paperwork Reduction Act, the OCC estimates the collection will involve 16 respondents, each spending about 140 hours, for a total annual burden of 2,240 hours. The estimated frequency of response is "on occasion." A prior 60-day notice published on June 12 2026 (91 FR 35794) received no comments.
