SEC Acknowledges KalshiEX Registration as National Securities Exchange
KalshiEX's registration as a national securities exchange for security futures products becomes effective on September 3, 2026.
On September 8, 2026, the Securities and Exchange Commission issued an acknowledgement that KalshiEX LLC filed a Form 1-N, thereby registering as a national securities exchange under Section 6(g) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
Section 6(g) permits a board of trade designated as a contract market by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to register solely for the purpose of trading security futures products, provided it does not operate as a marketplace for other securities. Registration becomes effective contemporaneously with the submission of the Form 1-N.
