Cboe EDGX adds trade-by-trade options report with new subscription fees
Effective Oct. 21, 2026, the rule applies to all EDGX Options participants, offering a $6,000 monthly subscription or $4,000 ad-hoc fee.

The Securities and Exchange Commission published a notice that Cboe EDGX Exchange, Inc. filed a non-controversial proposed rule change on Oct. 21, 2026, introducing a Trade-by-Trade (TBT) report for EDGX Options and amending its fee schedule. The change is effective immediately upon filing.
The TBT Report will provide subscribers with comprehensive trade-by-trade detail for each options transaction executed on EDGX Options. Produced and updated at the end of each trading day, the report will be made available overnight after midnight Eastern Time (T+1). Each row will include transaction time, underlying symbol, OSI details, trade size, price, market-context indicators, side, transaction type, origin, and, for Options Members, execution IDs for Simple Book and Complex Order Book trades.
The Exchange proposes a monthly subscription fee of $6,000 for the TBT Report and a $4,000 per-month fee for ad-hoc requests. Mid-month subscriptions or specific-date requests will be prorated. A free sample consisting of end-of-day trade-by-trade data for July 1-31, 2022, will be available to both Options Members and non-Members who have not previously received a sample.
The Exchange states the product is voluntary and intended to aid subscribers in detailed transaction-level analysis, compliance checks, historical market reconstruction, and analytics on liquidity, price formation, and trade behavior. It is not required by any rule or regulation, and purchase is optional.
The Exchange asserts the rule change complies with Section 6(b) of the Securities Exchange Act, including requirements to prevent fraudulent practices, promote equitable trade, and allocate reasonable fees. It cites Regulation NMS authority for offering new market-data products to broaden options-market information for investors.
