Federal Reserve opens comment period on Dorado Bank holding company application
Public comments on Dorado Bank Financial Holdings' request to become a bank holding company are due by Oct. 14, 2026

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System published a notice in the Federal Register (Vol. 91, No. 176, Sept. 14, 2026, pp. 58122-58123) that Dorado Bank Financial Holdings Corp, San Juan, Puerto Rico, has applied for approval to become a bank holding company by acquiring Dorado Bank, also of San Juan. The application is submitted under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 and Regulation Y.
The public portions of the application and any related filings required by the Board are available for immediate inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and at the Board's offices in Washington, DC. An expedited copy may be requested through the Board's Freedom of Information Office at https://www.federalreserve.gov/foia/request.htm.
Interested persons may submit written comments on the standards enumerated in the BHC Act to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (Keith Goodwin, Head of Bank Applications, 33 Liberty Street, New York, NY 10045-0001) or to Benjamin W. McDonough, Secretary of the Board, 20th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20551-0001. Comments must be received no later than Oct. 14, 2026. All comments are subject to public disclosure and will generally be released without alteration, except for removal of confidential personal or business information.
