OFAC adds new individuals and vessels to SDN List, blocks U.S.-jurisdiction property
U.S. persons are barred from dealing with the newly designated parties and vessels as of Aug. 24, 2026.
On August 24, 2026 the Office of Foreign Assets Control issued a notice publishing the names of persons placed on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List). The notice also identifies vessels as property in which a blocked person has an interest. All property and interests in property subject to U.S. jurisdiction of these persons are blocked.
The notice includes an update to the identifying information of one person already listed on the SDN List. The revised entry is reflected in the SDN List available on OFAC's website.
Under the relevant sanctions authorities, U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in transactions with the newly designated individuals, entities, or vessels. The blocking applies to any property within U.S. jurisdiction.
