OFAC adds persons and vessels to SDN List, blocking U.S. jurisdiction assets
U.S. persons must halt transactions with listed individuals and vessels effective Oct. 8, 2026

On Oct. 8, 2026, the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued a notice that one or more individuals and associated vessels have been placed on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List). The action, filed as FR Doc 2026-20994 on Oct. 13, 2026, cites authority under Executive Order 13902.
All property and interests in property subject to U.S. jurisdiction of the listed persons are now blocked. U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions with the designated individuals or the vessels identified as property in which a blocked person has an interest.
The notice includes a series of graphics identified as TN14OC26.009 through TN14OC26.015, which correspond to the entities and vessels subject to the designation. While the specific names are not reproduced in the text of the Federal Register entry, the complete SDN List and related program information are available on OFAC's website at https://ofac.treasury.gov.
For compliance inquiries, OFAC listed contact points: the Associate Director for Global Targeting (202-622-2420), the Assistant Director for Licensing (202-622-2480), and the Assistant Director for Sanctions Compliance (202-622-2490). The notice reiterates that the blocking of assets and transaction prohibitions apply to any property within U.S. jurisdiction, reinforcing the need for immediate review of existing and prospective dealings with the designated parties.
Entities subject to U.S. sanctions should verify that no prohibited transactions occur with the newly listed individuals or vessels and ensure that any blocked assets are identified and reported in accordance with OFAC regulations.
