SEC Schedules Closed Sunshine Act Meeting for Oct. 1, 2026
Commissioners, counsel, and designated staff must attend the closed meeting beginning 2 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2026.
The Securities and Exchange Commission issued a notice in the Federal Register (Vol. 91, No. 187, FR Doc No. 2026-19882) announcing a closed Sunshine Act meeting scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The meeting is closed to the public and may be held via remote means or at the Commission's headquarters at 100 F Street NE, Washington, DC 20549.
Attendance is limited to Commissioners, the Counsel to the Commissioners, the Secretary to the Commission, recording secretaries, and any staff members who have an interest in the matters. The General Counsel, or her designee, certified that exemptions under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(3), (5), (6), (7), (8), 9(B) and (10) and 17 CFR 200.402(a)(3), (a)(5), (a)(6), (a)(7), (a)(8), (a)(9)(ii) and (a)(10) justify the closed nature of the session.
The agenda includes the institution and settlement of injunctive actions; the institution and settlement of administrative proceedings; the resolution of litigation claims; and other matters relating to examinations and enforcement proceedings, which may encompass adjudicatory, examination, litigation, or regulatory issues.
