SEC Schedules Closed Sunshine Act Meeting for Sep 17

The Securities and Exchange Commission issued a notice in the Federal Register (Vol. 91, No. 176, Sep. 14, 2026; FR Doc No. 2026-18779) announcing a closed Sunshine Act meeting. The meeting is set for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, and will be conducted via remote means and at the Commission's headquarters, 100 F Street NE, Washington, DC 20549.

The meeting is closed to the public. Attendees will include the Commissioners, Counsel to the Commissioners, the Secretary to the Commission, recording secretaries, and staff members with an interest in the matters. The General Counsel, or his designee, certified that exemptions under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(3), (5), (6), (7), (8), 9(B) and (10) and 17 CFR 200.402(a)(3), (a)(5), (a)(6), (a)(7), (a)(8), (a)(9)(ii) and (a)(10) permit consideration of the scheduled matters at the closed meeting.

The agenda includes the institution and settlement of injunctive actions; the institution and settlement of administrative proceedings; the resolution of litigation claims; and other matters relating to examinations and enforcement proceedings. The notice adds that changes in Commission priorities may alter the scheduling of agenda items covering adjudicatory, examination, litigation, or regulatory matters.
