The Department of the Treasury announced an extension, without change, of the Information-Sharing Initiative: Digital Assets Criteria Form (OMB Control Number 1505-0286). The collection supports Treasury's duties as the Sector Risk Management Agency for the Financial Services Sector under 6 U.S.C. Sec. 665d.

The intake form gathers the minimum information required to confirm an applicant's identity, U.S. legal status, organizational category, digital-asset function, regulatory status, cybersecurity maturity, ability to protect non-public information, and the cybersecurity purpose for requesting access. Treasury uses this data to determine eligibility for non-public cyber-threat information and to ensure compliance with its Traffic Light Protocol (TLP) markings and dissemination restrictions.

The notice estimates 300 respondents, each responding once, with an estimated 100 annual responses. Each response is expected to take three hours, resulting in an estimated total of 300 annual burden hours. The affected public includes for-profit businesses and not-for-profit institutions.

Written comments must be received on or before December 8, 2026. Comments may address the necessity of the collection, the accuracy of the burden estimate, ways to improve quality, clarity, and burden reduction, and any cost estimates. Submissions are to be sent to the Treasury PRA Clearance Officer at the address listed or via the provided email address and will become part of the public record.

For copies of the submission materials, contact Spencer W. Clark by email or phone at (202) 927-5331. The Treasury will summarize all comments for Office of Management and Budget approval under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.
