WaFd seeks Fed approval to acquire EverBank Financial Corp
WaFd, Inc. must obtain Federal Reserve Board approval for its proposed acquisition of EverBank Financial Corp, with comments due by Nov. 12, 2026.

The Federal Reserve Board received an application from WaFd, Inc., Seattle, Washington, to acquire EverBank Financial Corp and, through that transaction, indirectly acquire EverBank, National Association, both of Jacksonville, Florida. The notice appears in the Federal Register Vol. 91, No. 196, dated Oct. 13, 2026, and is identified as FR Doc No: 2026-20887, filed on Oct. 9, 2026 at 8:45 am.
The public portions of the application are available for inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, 101 Market Street, San Francisco, California 94105-1579, and at the Board of Governors offices, 20th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20551-0001. Interested parties may also request expedited access from the Board's Freedom of Information Office. Written comments must be submitted to the San Francisco Reserve Bank or the Board's Secretary, Benjamin W. McDonough, no later than Nov. 12, 2026.
Comments are subject to public disclosure and will generally be posted without alteration, except for removal of personal or business identifiers that are not appropriate for public release. Submissions should avoid confidential information that would be unsuitable for disclosure.
The Board will evaluate the application under the standards set forth in the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 (12 U.S.C. 1841 et seq.) and Regulation Y (12 CFR part 225). The outcome will determine whether WaFd may proceed with the acquisition and assume control of EverBank's banking and non-banking subsidiaries.
