Fed releases notice on Banner County Ban Corp acquisition request

The Banner County Ban Corp Employee Stock Ownership Plan may acquire up to 48.96% of voting shares, with comments due by Oct. 13, 2026.

The Federal Reserve Board published a notice in the Federal Register (Vol. 91, No. 175, page 57890) announcing applications for the formation, acquisition, or merger of bank holding companies under the BHC Act and Regulation Y. The notice includes the application of Banner County Ban Corporation Employee Stock Ownership Plan and Trust.

The ESOP seeks approval to acquire up to 48.96 percent of the voting shares of Banner County Ban Corporation, which would indirectly give it additional shares of Banner Capital Bank, located in Harrisburg, Nebraska. The acquisition would be subject to the Board's review and approval under the statutory standards of the BHC Act.

The public portions of the application and related filings are available for immediate inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, 1 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, Missouri 64198-0001, and at the Board's offices in Washington. Interested parties may submit written comments to the Reserve Bank indicated or to the Board Secretary, Benjamin W. McDonough, at the address listed, no later than October 13, 2026. Comments are subject to public disclosure.

The notice states that comments will be made available without alteration, except for removal of personal or business identifiers, and should not contain confidential information. The filing is identified as FR Doc 2026-18594, filed on September 10, 2026, at 8:45 a.m., and bears the billing code P.
