MIAX files immediate rule change to clarify Consolidated Audit Trail reporting
The amendment, effective upon filing on Oct. 9, 2026, applies to all MIAX members and must be commented on by Nov. 12, 2026.

On October 9, 2026, Miami International Securities Exchange LLC (MIAX) filed a proposed rule change, identified as File No. SR-MIAX-2026-42, with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Under Section 19(b)(3)(A) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 19b-4(f)(6), the amendment became effective immediately upon filing.
The proposal makes minor, non-substantive edits to Exchange Rule 1703, Consolidated Audit Trail Compliance Rule - Industry Member Data Reporting. Specifically, references in 1703(a)(1) and 1703(a)(2) to paragraph (3) are corrected to paragraph (a)(3), and a closing parenthesis is added after the phrase "Industry Member Data" for grammatical accuracy.
MIAX cites Section 6(b) and Section 6(b)(1) of the Act as the statutory basis, stating the changes improve clarity and precision without altering the rule's substantive effect. The Exchange asserts the amendment imposes no burden on intra- or inter-market competition and reports that no comments were solicited or received.
The Commission invites written comments on the proposal through November 12, 2026, via the SEC's internet comment form or email, referencing file number SR-MIAX-2026-42. Submissions may also be mailed in triplicate to the SEC's Secretary.
The Commission may temporarily suspend the rule change within 60 days of filing if it deems such action necessary for the public interest or investor protection, and would then initiate proceedings under Section 19(b)(2)(B) of the Act.
