SEC Extends Review Deadline for NYSE Texas Rule Change
The extension applies to NYSE Texas's proposed rule to offer complimentary products and services, with a new decision deadline of November 30, 2026.

On October 16, 2026, the Securities and Exchange Commission designated a longer period for action on NYSE Texas, Inc.'s proposed rule change, File No. SR-NYSETEX-2026-30 (Release No. 34-106682). The Commission set November 30, 2026, as the date by which it must approve, disapprove, or commence proceedings on the amendment-modified proposal.
NYSE Texas originally filed the proposed rule change on August 13, 2026, to adopt a new Rule 24 under Article 22 of its rule book, allowing certain issuers complimentary products and services. The proposal was published for comment on September 1, 2026, and on October 5, 2026 the Exchange filed Amendment No. 1, which superseded the original filing in its entirety. No comments were received on the proposal.
Section 19(b)(2) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 permits the Commission to extend the standard 45-day comment period to up to 90 days when appropriate. The 45th day after the notice's publication fell on October 16, 2026, prompting the Commission to exercise this authority and grant the longer period.
The Commission's designation provides additional time to consider the amendment and any issues it raises before taking one of the statutory actions - approval, disapproval, or initiation of disapproval proceedings - by the November 30, 2026 deadline.
