The Department of the Treasury has announced an extension, without change, of the information collection for the Trump Accounts Qualified Class Contribution Application (OMB Control Number 1505-0285). The notice, published in the Federal Register on Oct. 23, 2026 (FR Doc 2026-21643), invites comments from the general public and other federal agencies.

The application is authorized by Section 70204 of the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act, Public Law 119-21, which created Trump Accounts as a new category of traditional individual retirement account for eligible individuals under age 18. Treasury is tasked with reviewing donor eligibility, validating contribution structures, coordinating receipt and distribution of funds, and ensuring compliance with statutory limits.

The Treasury estimates 100 respondents - businesses or other for-profits, not-for-profit institutions, individuals and households, and state and local governments - will each submit a single response taking about 30 minutes, for a total annual burden of 50 hours. Written comments must be received on or before Dec. 22, 2026.

Comments may address the necessity of the collection, the accuracy of the burden estimate, ways to improve the quality and clarity of the information, and methods to reduce respondent burden, including the use of technology. All comments will become part of the public record and will be summarized for Office of Management and Budget approval.

Copies of the submission materials can be obtained from Spencer W. Clark, Treasury PRA Clearance Officer, by email or phone, or viewed at www.reginfo.gov.
