The Securities and Exchange Commission designated a longer period for action on Cboe Exchange, Inc.'s proposed rule change to establish stop-limit complex orders and a new Stop-Limit Complex Order Auction. The extension applies to File No. SR-CBOE-2026-024 and sets a new decision deadline of November 21, 2026.

Cboe filed the proposal on March 9, 2026 under Section 19(b)(1) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and published it for comment on March 26, 2026 (see Release No. 105064, 91 FR 14736). No comments were received. The Commission subsequently designated a longer period on May 5, 2026 (Release No. 105371, 91 FR 25393) and instituted proceedings on June 24, 2026 (Release No. 105771, 91 FR 39143).

Section 19(b)(2) requires the Commission to issue an order approving or disapproving a rule change no later than 180 days after the notice of filing, with a possible 60-day extension. The 180-day deadline fell on September 22, 2026; the Commission exercised the allowable extension and set the new deadline for November 21, 2026.

The extension gives the Commission additional time to consider the proposed stop-limit complex order framework and the associated auction mechanism before rendering a final decision.

The notice was issued by the Division of Trading and Markets under delegated authority, signed by Assistant Secretary Sherry R. Haywood. (FR Doc 2026-19513, Vol. 91, No. 184, p. 60661).
