The Securities and Exchange Commission has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget a request to extend the previously approved collection of information for Rule 17a-19 and Form X-17A-19, identified by OMB Control No. 3235-0133, under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.

Rule 17a-19 obligates every national securities exchange and registered national securities association to file Form X-17A-19 with the Commission and the Securities Investor Protection Corporation within five business days of a member's initiation, suspension, or termination, and to notify the member of its reporting obligations under Rule 17a-5(b). There are currently 30 exchanges and associations that may be subject to the rule.

Commission staff estimates that the respondents will make 206 filings annually, each taking approximately 15 minutes, for a total reporting burden of about 52 annual hours.

Comments on the information collection request must be submitted through the regulations.gov link or emailed to the address provided no later than November 9, 2026, which is 30 days after the notice's publication.
