Federal Reserve opens comment period on Journey Financial Group BHC application
Comments on Journey Financial Group's request to become a bank holding company by acquiring Lone Star Bank are due by Sept. 21, 2026.

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System published a notice (FR Doc No: 2026-17118) on August 21, 2026 announcing applications for formations, acquisitions, and mergers of bank holding companies. The notice invites written comments on the standards set forth in the Bank Holding Company Act.
The notice lists one application: Journey Financial Group, Inc., of Montgomery, Texas, seeks approval to become a bank holding company by acquiring Lone Star Bank, Houston, Texas.
Comments must be received by September 21, 2026 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, 2200 North Pearl Street, Dallas, Texas, addressed to Lindsey Wieck, Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, or to the Board's Secretary, Benjamin W. McDonough, at the Board's Washington offices. Electronic comments may be sent to the protected email address provided in the notice.
The Board, represented by Associate Secretary Michele Taylor Fennell, will evaluate the application under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, Regulation Y, and all other applicable statutes and regulations.
