SEC Sets Deadline for Hearing on SLR BDC Share-Class Exemption
SLR Secured Lending Partners and its Specialty Lending Fund may issue multiple share classes pending a hearing request by 5:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 26, 2026.

The Securities and Exchange Commission issued a notice of an application under section 6(c) of the Investment Company Act of 1940 for an exemption from sections 18(a)(2), 18(c), 18(i) and 61(a). The applicants are SLR Secured Lending Partners, LLC and SLR Secured Specialty Lending Fund. The application was filed on August 14, 2026, and amended on September 1, 2026.
The requested order would permit certain closed-end investment companies that have elected to be regulated as business development companies to issue multiple classes of shares with varying sales loads and asset-based distribution and/or service fees.
The Commission will issue the order unless it orders a hearing. Interested persons may request a hearing by emailing the SEC's Secretary and serving the applicants, with the request due by 5:30 p.m., Eastern time, on October 26, 2026. Requests must include proof of service and, per rule 0-5, state the writer's interest, relevant facts, the reason for the request, and the contested issues.
