The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation issued a notice to renew the information collection identified as OMB Control No. 3064-0112, titled "Real Estate Lending Standards." The collection applies to insured state nonmember banks and state savings associations.

The agency estimates an annual burden of 52,940 hours, based on 2,647 respondents each submitting one response that requires 20:00 minutes. The notice states that this figure reflects a reduction of 8,780 hours from the prior estimate of 61,720 hours, attributable to a lower number of respondents.

Comments on the proposed renewal must be submitted on or before October 5 2026. The FDIC lists several submission options, including its website, email, mail to Robert Meiers, Regulatory Counsel, and hand delivery to the guard station at the agency's 17th Street building. All comments should reference the OMB control number.

The notice emphasizes that the substance and methodology of the collection remain unchanged. It reiterates the statutory basis in Section 1828(o) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act and the requirements of 12 CFR 365, which mandate policies covering limits, underwriting standards, loan administration, documentation, and annual board review.
