Federal Reserve opens comment period on Citizens Bancshares acquisition
Comments on the proposed 47.03% acquisition of Citizens Bancshares must be filed by Aug. 27, 2026.

The Federal Reserve Board issued a notice (FR Doc No 2026-15215, July 28, 2026) that Citizens Bancshares, Inc., ESOP, Edmond, Oklahoma, has applied for approval to acquire up to 47.03 percent of Citizens Bancshares, Inc., thereby indirectly acquiring additional shares of The Citizens Bank of Edmond, both located in Edmond, Oklahoma. The application is submitted under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, Regulation Y, and all other applicable statutes and regulations.
The public portions of the application and any related filings required by the Board are available for immediate inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and at the offices of the Board of Governors. Expedited access may be requested through the Board's Freedom of Information Office.
Interested persons may submit written comments to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City (Jeffrey Imgarten, Assistant Vice President), 1 Memorial Drive, Kansas City, Missouri 64198-0001, or electronically to the email address provided in the notice.
