Federal Reserve Opens Comment Period for American Exchange Co. BHC Application

The Federal Reserve seeks comments by Sept. 8, 2026 on American Exchange Company's request to become a bank holding company through acquisition of American Exchange Bank.

The Federal Reserve announced on August 7, 2026 that it is accepting public comment on an application to form a bank holding company and to acquire a bank, pursuant to the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 and Regulation Y.

The applicant, American Exchange Company of Henryetta, Oklahoma, seeks approval to become a bank holding company by acquiring American Exchange Bank, also located in Henryetta, Oklahoma. The request is filed under the standards enumerated in the BHC Act (12 U.S.C. 1842(c)).

The public portions of the application and any related filings required by the Board are available for immediate inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and at the offices of the Board of Governors. Requests for expedited copies may be made by contacting the appropriate Federal Reserve Bank or the Board's Freedom of Information Office.
