FDIC seeks comments on renewal of three information collections
FDIC-insured banks and state nonmember banks must respond to the renewed collections; comments are due by Sep. 8, 2026.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation published a notice on August 6, 2026 proposing renewal of three existing information collections - OMB Control Numbers 3064-0057, 3064-0125, and 3064-0175 - and soliciting public comment through September 8, 2026. The agency notes that the prior 60-day comment period, published June 4, 2026, yielded no responses.
The first collection, titled Certified Statement for Quarterly Deposit Insurance Assessment (OMB 3064-0057), applies to FDIC-insured depository institutions. The burden estimate projects 4,345 respondents filing four quarterly reports each, with an average response time of 00:20, for a total annual burden of 5,793 hours, a reduction from 6,340 hours in 2024.
The second collection, Foreign Banking and Investment by Insured State Nonmember Banks (OMB 3064-0125), targets insured state nonmember banks and state savings associations. The notice lists a total annual burden of 1,711 hours, reflecting a 33 percent decrease from 2,577 hours in 2023, driven by fewer estimated respondents.
The third collection, Interagency Guidance on Sound Incentive Compensation Policies (OMB 3064-0175), also concerns insured state nonmember banks and savings associations. Its burden estimate totals 3,592 hours, down 418 hours from 4,010 hours in 2023, due to a lower number of respondents.
The FDIC states there are no changes to the substance or methodology of any collection. Comments may be submitted via the agency's website, email, mail to Robert Meiers, Regulatory Attorney, or hand-delivery to the guard station at the 17th Street building, as detailed in the notice.
