FDIC seeks comments on renewal of two information collections
Insured state nonmember banks, state savings associations, and insured depository institutions must respond to the renewed collections, with comments due by July 24, 2026.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation published a notice in the Federal Register (Vol. 91, No. 120, June 24, 2026) proposing renewal of two OMB-approved information collections, OMB Control Numbers 3064-0029 and 3064-0177. The prior notice, published on April 21, 2026, allowed a 60-day comment period; no comments were received.
The first collection, titled "Notification of Performance of Bank Services" (Form FDIC 6120/06), applies to insured state nonmember banks and state savings associations. The agency estimates an annual burden of 313 hours, a reduction from 325 hours in 2023, reflecting a lower projected number of responses. The reporting frequency (on occasion) and average response time (30 minutes) remain unchanged.
The second collection, "Treatment by the FDIC as Conservator or Receiver of Financial Assets Transferred by an Insured Depository Institution in Connection With a Securitization or Participation After September 30, 2010," applies to insured depository institutions. The total estimated annual burden is 7,008 hours, derived from five mandatory disclosure and recordkeeping requirements, and is unchanged from the 2023 estimate.
The FDIC invites written comments on the necessity, burden accuracy, and potential improvements - including automated collection techniques - by July 24, 2026. Submissions may be made via the agency's website, email, mail to Robert Meiers, Regulatory Attorney, MB-3013, or hand-delivered to the guard station at the rear of the 17th Street NW building.
For further information, contact Robert Meiers, Regulatory Attorney, at the address or email listed in the notice.
