Federal Reserve Issues Change-in-Control Notice for First San Benito Bancshares Acquisition
Public comments are accepted through Sept. 1, 2026 on a group's request to retain voting shares of First San Benito Bancshares and First Community Bank.

The Federal Reserve System published a Change in Bank Control notice (Federal Register Vol. 91, No. 157, Aug. 17, 2026, pp. 53250-53251, FR Doc No. 2026-16762) announcing that the listed notificants have applied under the Change in Bank Control Act (12 U.S.C. 1817(j)) and Regulation Y (12 CFR 225.41) to acquire shares of a bank or bank holding company.
The applicants - Anita Boswell, the Anita Boswell IRA, Christopher Boswell, all of Harlingen, Texas; Carolyn R. Boswell, Scottsdale, Arizona; Megan Boswell, Brooklyn, New York; Thomas Chris Boswell, Austin, Texas; Cameron Hays, Denver, Colorado; Ryan S. Hays, Somerville, Massachusetts; and Kathryn Hays, Sarah Hays and the Sarah Hays IRA, all of Evergreen, Colorado - act in concert to retain voting shares of First San Benito Bancshares Corporation and, thereby, indirectly retain voting shares of First Community Bank, both of San Benito, Texas.
The public portions of the applications and any related filings are available for immediate inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, 2200 North Pearl Street, Dallas, Texas 75201-2272, and at the Board of Governors' offices, 20th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20551-0001. Comments must be received by the Dallas Reserve Bank (Lindsey Wieck, Director, Mergers & Acquisitions) or by the Board Secretary, Benjamin W. McDonough, no later than Sept. 1, 2026.
