Federal Reserve opens comment period for Docking Family's Docking Bancshares acquisition
The Docking Family Control Group seeks approval to acquire voting shares of Docking Bancshares Inc.; comments must be filed by Aug. 31, 2026.

The Federal Reserve published a Change in Bank Control notice in the Federal Register (Vol. 91, No. 156, Aug. 14, 2026, p. 52691; FR Doc No. 2026-16625). The notice announces that applicants have filed under the Change in Bank Control Act, 12 U.S.C. § 1817(j), and Regulation Y, 12 CFR § 225.41, to acquire voting shares of Docking Bancshares Inc., Arkansas City, Kansas.
Applicants include Judy O. Docking, Mary Ruth Johnson, and the William R. Docking Wife's Trust, with Brian Docking as co-trustee, joining the Docking Family Control Group to acquire voting shares. Additionally, Jill S. Docking, Margery Docking Gavin, and the Thomas R. Docking Family Trust, with Jill S. Docking as trustee, will retain voting shares and join the same control group.
The public portions of the applications and any related filings are available for inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and the Board of Governors' offices. Interested parties may also request expedited access via the Board's FOIA portal. Written comments on the standards in paragraph 7 of the Act must be submitted to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City (Jeffrey Imgarten, Assistant Vice President) or to the Board of Governors, Benjamin W. McDonough, Secretary, no later than August 31, 2026. Comments are generally disclosed publicly without alteration, except for removal of personal or confidential identifiers.
