Federal Reserve Opens Comment Period for PBI Holdings Bank Holding Company Application
PBI Holdings, Inc. must receive public comment by Sept. 11, 2026 on its proposed acquisition of Premier Bancshares and Premier Bank.

The Federal Reserve Board published notice FR Doc 2026-16410 on Aug. 12, 2026 announcing that PBI Holdings, Inc., of Omaha, Nebraska, has applied for approval to become a bank holding company by acquiring Premier Bancshares, Inc., and thereby indirectly acquiring Premier Bank National Association.
The application is filed under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, Regulation Y, and all other applicable statutes and regulations. Public portions of the application and related filings are available for immediate inspection at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and at the Board of Governors' offices.
Interested persons may submit written comments on the standards enumerated in the BHC Act to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City (Jeffrey Imgarten, Assistant Vice President) or to the Board's Secretary, Benjamin W. McDonough, at 20th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, Washington, DC, no later than Sept. 11, 2026. Comments are generally public and will be disclosed without alteration, except for removal of confidential personal or business information.
The Board of Governors will consider the comments when deciding whether to approve the formation, acquisition, or merger. The notice was filed on Aug. 11, 2026 at 8:45 a.m.
