Nasdaq Texas files rule change to drop obsolete market data connectivity offerings
The change removes several fiber-optic and wireless market-data feed services and a proposed POD offering, effective Sept. 30 2026 for the remaining services.

On August 14, 2026 Nasdaq Texas, LLC filed a proposed rule change with the Securities and Exchange Commission (Release No. 34-106145; File No. SR-NasdaqTX-2026-038). The filing, published in the Federal Register on August 20, 2026 (FR Doc No. 2026-16947), seeks immediate effectiveness under Section 19(b)(1) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 19b-4.
The proposal amends Rule General 8, Section 1(b) to remove certain fiber-optic market-data connectivity offerings - specifically feeds to the Nasdaq Data Center for SIAC, CTS/CQS, OpenBook Ultra, and ArcaBook Multicast - and to delete the associated fees and explanatory language. Nasdaq Texas will terminate these offerings on September 30, 2026 after providing existing customers with 90-days' notice, noting that fewer than three customers use each service and that comparable feeds are available from other vendors.
The amendment also deletes a set of wireless connectivity services delivered via microwave or millimeter-wave networks, including NYSE Equities (Arca Integrated), NYSE Equities (NYSE Integrated), BATS Multicast PITCH for BZX and BYX, Direct EDGE Depth of Book for EDGA and EDGX, and several CME multicast feeds. Those wireless offerings were terminated effective August 31, 2025, and the rule text and related fee provisions are being removed to reflect that termination.
In addition, Nasdaq Texas proposes to discontinue the Proximity-On-Demand (POD) offering described in SR-BX-2024-021. The POD service, a managed colocation solution, was never implemented and no fees were ever filed. The Exchange therefore seeks to remove any reference to POD from its rulebook.
The Exchange states that the changes serve to align the rulebook with services that are no longer offered, terminated, or never launched, and do not introduce new fees or obligations. The Commission is publishing this notice to solicit comments from interested persons.
