OFAC adds persons to SDN List, blocks U.S. jurisdictional assets
U.S. persons are prohibited from transactions with listed individuals effective August 7, 2026

The Office of Foreign Assets Control issued a notice on August 7, 2026, publishing the names of one or more individuals placed on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List (SDN List). The notice appears in the Federal Register, volume 91, number 156, pages 52786-52789, and is identified as FR Doc No: 2026-16573.
All property and interests in property subject to U.S. jurisdiction of the listed persons are blocked. U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions with those individuals, creating immediate compliance obligations for banks, exporters, and other regulated entities.
The action is taken under the authorities of Executive Order 13224, as amended, and Executive Order 13902. Those executive orders provide the legal basis for designating individuals whose activities threaten U.S. national security, foreign policy, or economic interests.
The SDN List and additional information concerning OFAC sanctions programs are available on OFAC's website at https://ofac.treasury.gov. The notice includes graphic files (TN14AU26.000, TN14AU26.001, TN14AU26.002) that contain the specific names and identifying details of the designated persons.
For further assistance, OFAC lists contact numbers for the Associate Director for Global Targeting (202-622-2420) and the Assistant Director for Sanctions Compliance (202-622-2490), as well as a web-based contact form at https://ofac.treasury.gov/contact-ofac.
