SEC Extends Review Deadline for Texas Stock Exchange Rule Change
The SEC gave itself until Oct. 4, 2026 to act on TXSE's proposed amendment to its ETF listing standard, extending the prior Aug. 20 deadline.

On June 17, 2026 Texas Stock Exchange LLC filed a proposed rule change with the Securities and Exchange Commission under Section 19(b)(1) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Rule 19b-4. The filing seeks to amend a continued listing standard relating to beneficial holders of Exchange Traded Fund shares listed under TXSE Rule 17.104(b)(2)(B). The proposal was published for comment in the Federal Register on July 6, 2026, and the Commission received no comments.
Section 19(b)(2) of the Act requires the Commission to act within 45 days of the notice of filing, or within a longer period up to 90 days if designated. The 45th day after the July 6 publication falls on August 20, 2026. The Commission has elected to extend this 45-day period.
Pursuant to its authority, the Commission designates October 4, 2026 as the date by which it shall either approve, disapprove, or institute proceedings to determine whether to disapprove the proposed rule change (File No. SR-TXSE-2026-009). The designation is made by the Division of Trading and Markets under delegated authority.
The notice appears as Release No. 34-106136, FR Doc No. 2026-16857, and is signed by Secretary Vanessa A. Countryman.
