The Department of the Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service announced an extension of the Annual Financial Statement of Surety Companies - Schedule F (OMB No. 1530-0008, Form FS 6314). The notice, FR Doc 2026-16725, dated August 13, 2026, solicits public and agency comments through October 16, 2026.

The form supplies information used to calculate unauthorized reinsurance of Treasury-approved admitted reinsurers, a step the Treasury deems necessary to confirm the solvency of companies authorized to issue Federal surety bonds and to assess their ability to meet contractual obligations.

The agency projects 317 respondents, with an estimated time per respondent ranging from 1 hour to 40 hours, for a total annual burden of 6,499 hours. Commenters are asked to address the collection's necessity, the accuracy of the burden estimate, data quality, and potential burden reductions, including automated collection methods.

Comments should be mailed or emailed to Bruce A. Sharp, T1-G, PO Box 1328, Parkersburg, WV 26106-1328, or the listed email address. All submissions will become part of the public record and may be incorporated into the request for OMB approval.
